Inspired by her enthusiasm for the Qantas Club, Cathy Thomas envisioned establishing a bar on Norfolk Island that embodied a similar ambiance. The historic Photopress building, situated directly across from the airport, provided an ideal location for this venture. Through careful renovations, fresh décor, essential furnishings, refrigeration, and the acquisition of both liquor and food licenses, her vision became a reality. In 2023, the Wunna Bar and Lounge officially opened its doors, catering to departing passengers while also offering live music performances and DJ-hosted events on select evenings.
